Award-winning singer, Annemarie Ballinger, accompanied by David Udolf at the keyboard and Chuck Bennett on bass, is pleased to present “Gershwin and Friends” live at The Gamble Garden! Come hear songs and stories by and about George Gershwin and his friends.

Gershwin frequently held extravagant musical soirees in his homes in New York and Hollywood, where fellow songwriters would try out their latest material for one another. In fact, many of the songs in this concert might have been heard for the very first time at one of these parties! Listen to songs by Gershwin and his close friends and associates, many of whom were brilliant composers as well: Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Fats Waller, Irving Berlin, to name a few. In addition, much of Gershwin’s own material will be performed in the concert.

Annemarie’s debut CD, “Gershwin and Friends”, will be available for purchase. Please visit the merchandise table at intermission and after the show to take yours home tonight and enjoy the music of Gershwin and Friends for many years to come.

This concert will be performed outdoors on the beautiful Carriage House Patio, so please dress accordingly. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Performance time runs from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM with a 15 minute intermission. Concert goers are allowed to bring their own beverages and light snacks. Suitable for adults and teens. Gamble Garden will follow Santa Clara County Guidelines in place at the time of the concert.
