September is Back to School month and it’s a perfect time to learn something new. So join us for this special class that introduces you to the wonderful world of floral design.
Learn how to create artful floral arrangements using sustainable and foam free mechanics and experiment with the use of color and texture. Discover how to best select, condition and care for your flowers for maximum longevity and enjoyment. We will also discuss the tools, mechanics and containers to use to create unique and beautiful floral designs. You will leave this class with loads of information, new found skills, and a delightful arrangement that will be sure to dazzle your family and friends. Get ready for the upcoming holiday season and fill it with flowers!
Please bring your floral clippers. All other materials are included. This class is suitable for adults and teens.

Instructor Bio
Katherine Glazier is an instructor and floral arranger at Gamble Garden and she co-led the floral design program at Filoli for eight years. She holds a European Master Certification (EMC) and a Teacher’s Diploma in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana. Katherine exhibits at Bouquets to Art at the deYoung Museum and she conducts public floral demonstrations. Seasonal and locally grown material, with an emphasis on the beauty of California floriculture, is showcased in her designs.
