Watch Art Happen
Saturday, July 17, 10AM to 2PM

Our Art in the Garden event, July 16th and 17th, is a highlight of our year long celebration of Gamble Garden’s 25th Anniversary.
Not only will our garden be bursting with color at the height of its summer bloom - so will the canvases of the artists who will be painting there!
Come watch as they move color from their pallets to their paintings, depicting scenes of the Gamble Estate.
Please join us for a Preview Party and Reception for the Artists on
Friday, July 16, 5:30 to 7:30PM for an “Artini” or glass of wine,
and appetizers and a chance to meet and talk with our artists. You will have “first pick” to purchase your favorite of over 75 paintings this evening.
Reservations are required for this event – tickets are $20 each and be
purchased online
or by calling the office.
Come meet the artists at work painting in the gardens during Watch Art Happen on
Saturday, July 17, 10:00AM to 2:00PM
and let them share their personal experience and impressions of Gamble Garden. Saturday is free to the public. Come watch art happen
as you stroll along our garden paths, enjoy a delicious crepe or ice cream treat from our vendors, and visit with friends.
The Exhibition and Sale continue until 5:00PM.
The artists are generously donating 30% of the painting sale price to Gamble Garden.
“Sunday in Gamble Garden” by Brent Jensen was selected as our 25th Anniversary Signature Image.
The original, as well as reproductions are for sale.
Last fall, 45 local artists entered their paintings of Gamble Garden in our contest for a signature image for our 25th anniversary poster.
Brent Jensen’s “Sunday in Gamble Garden” was selected as the winner. Our judges felt that his image captured the feeling that
Gamble Garden strives to create: People enjoying the beauty of our glorious estate.
Brent grew up in Montana and began painting as a child. When he was in sixth grade, he won a state-wide art contest and has never looked back.
He considers himself a “traditional impressionist style oil painter” who has studied both the classic masters and well known contemporary painters.
“My pieces use a loose approach, limited palette, and objective perspective – allowing viewers to be drawn into the painting,” he explains.
We certainly agree!
Brent has exhibited in numerous shows through out the West and has been the subject of articles in American Art Collector, Art of the West,
and Southwest Art magazines.
“Brent Jensen strives to balance composition and a scene’s emotional content to express its character in a manner that will speak to others
and pull them into a painting” – Southwest Art, September 2009.
Our poster will be for sale for $15 during Art in the Garden weekend, as well as through out the year.
You may see more of Brent’s work on his website.
